Every year for Nurses Week, we take the time to thank our nurses for all that they do. This year, we would like to spotlightPeggy, a Licensed Practical Nurse who has been working with us for the past year. Peggy jokes that she went to school with Florence Nightingale when she began her nursing career 26 years ago in October 1990. Her passion of serving, helping and teaching others coupled with her love of learning has made her into the wonderful nurse that she is today. In her own words,“all fields of nursing blend together. Our job is to serve others. We take care of and serve patients, doctors, other staff and each other. Every nurse I know has the desire to help others. It is our calling.”When Peggy is not working as a nurse, she enjoys different hobbies and interests including clay sculpting, learning about history, visiting museums and being a member of theA Girl and a Gun League. In addition, she has a love of flying and being in the air. She has experience as a student pilot and has been skydiving. Her love of traveling has been made a reality through her current role where she travels to long-term care facilities as a Nurse Consultant.
“[I love the staff [at Medical Recruitment Strategies]! Everyone has been so wonderful. Wesley has been a God send, [and] has been so supportive and encouraging. He prepared me for my job interview [and] followed up with me until I was hired on. Daniela has been so organized, patient and kind [regarding] everything- she is always so upbeat and a pleasure to talk to. My entire experience with Medical Recruitment Strategies has been amazing!”
