Position: Pharmacist
Location: North Little Rock Arkansas 72116
- Schedule: Flexible start/end times; must be available until 7:00 PM, Monday through Friday, and Saturday mornings from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM.
- Conversion Potential: This is a temporary position with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate physician medication orders for appropriateness, dosage, potential interactions, and routes of administration.
- Maintain an accurate patient/resident database, including medical history and concurrent medications.
- Ensure appropriate laboratory tests are ordered and discussed with the healthcare team.
- Document all communications with healthcare team members and patients/residents in the medical record.
- Implement policies for the safe procurement, storage, distribution, and disposal of medications.
- Assist facility staff with safe medication practices and report any medication-related errors.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy; Pharm D preferred.
- Minimum one year of experience in long-term care.
- Licenses/Certifications as required by government regulations.
- Detail-oriented, goal-oriented team player with strong oral communication skills
