Location: Asheville North Carolina 28805 Start: ASAP (Contract) Possible Temp to Hire.
Schedule 9-6pm - Must be able to work weekends
Key Responsibilities:
- Fill prescription items as permitted by the State Board of Pharmacy.
- Package medications for dispensing and delivery, ensuring accuracy and productivity.
- Label products appropriately, including cautionary or auxiliary labels.
- Participate in periodic inventory checks and assist with stocking shelves.
- Prepare medications including emulsions, liquids, powders, and ointments (non-sterile compounding).
- Communicate professionally with internal and external customers.
- Process returned medications for credit or destruction.
- Assist in training new employees.
- Perform at least one of the following tasks:
- Work in the Controlled Drugs (Narcotics) Room.
- Operate automated machines for drug prep.
- Manage inventory functions, monitor pharmaceutical levels, and identify expired medications.
- Input patient data and medication orders into a computer system for label production.
- Mix/package IV medications and maintain IV room cleanliness.
- Service facility-based medication dispensing machines (e.g., RxNow).
