Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Infusion Registered Nurse to join our team. The Infusion RN will provide hands-on patient care, implementing and monitoring treatment plans while adhering to all regulatory guidelines and standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in administering chemotherapy, biotherapy, and IV treatments and will work closely with the healthcare team to ensure the highest quality of patient care.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Administer chemotherapy, biotherapy, antibiotics, symptom management treatments, and patient education.
Provide and document professional nursing care following the nursing process.
Demonstrate competency in chemotherapy administration, monoclonal antibody therapy, IV therapy, and subcutaneous/intramuscular injections.
Adhere to ONS guidelines for handling adverse events, including extravasation, infiltration, and chemotherapy spills.
Maintain accurate medical records and comply with all federal and state regulations regarding healthcare information.
Ensure a systematic and ongoing patient evaluation process, collecting and documenting relevant data.
Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver comprehensive patient care.
Assist with maintaining a safe and efficient environment of care, including equipment and material management.
Cross-train and perform duties as needed in pharmacy, triage, lab, injections, and scheduling.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Basic Qualifications:
Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Minimum 2 years of experience in medical oncology preferred.
ONS chemotherapy/biotherapy certification or willingness to obtain within one year of employment.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.
Strong IV skills and familiarity with vascular access devices (VADs).
Willingness to work with research subjects and administer trial medications after appropriate training.

Effective oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work well in a team environment.
Proficiency in using medical software and documentation tools.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 10 pounds for essential job functions.
May be exposed to environmental conditions, bloodborne pathogens, and chemical hazards.
Requires extended periods of sitting, standing, and walking.
