Job Description:

We are seeking a qualified Pharmacist to join our team. This role requires providing exceptional pharmaceutical care while ensuring the safe and accurate dispensing of medications. As a Pharmacist, you will work in a dynamic environment with responsibilities including medication management, patient counseling, and supervising pharmacy staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accept and dispense prescription medications, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.

  • Monitor patient medication compliance and identify over-usage patterns.

  • Ensure that prescribed medications are suitable for patients and that their supply is within the law.

  • Accurately maintain and manage confidential patient records, pharmacy files, and inventory.

  • Advise patients on medications, including proper usage, potential reactions, and interactions with other drugs.

  • Provide consultations on both prescription and non-prescription medications regarding dosage, side effects, storage, and drug interactions.

  • Offer services such as smoking cessation support, blood pressure measurement, and cholesterol management.

  • Educate patients on the proper handling of medical devices such as blood pressure monitors and glucose meters.

  • Compound medications for external and internal use as required.

  • Prepare sterile solutions following proper safety and procedural protocols.

  • Supervise pharmacy staff members, including pharmacy technicians and clerks, ensuring efficient operation.

  • Maintain accurate inventory of pharmaceutical and medical supplies.

  • Identify drug-related issues and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to resolve them.

  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient care.

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree required.

  • Must be licensed by the state pharmacy board (IN RPh license).

  • Previous experience in pharmacy practice is preferred.
