Pharmacy Technician - Prior Authorization (Temporary Assignment)
Location: (Remote/Call Center Setting)
Schedule:
Training: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM (2-3 weeks)
After Training: Monday-Friday, 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM
Position Overview:
We are seeking a licensed Pharmacy Technician to join our team on a temporary assignment. This role involves handling incoming calls from members, providers, and other stakeholders, providing professional and courteous assistance through the criteria-based prior authorization process.
Responsibilities:
Answer inbound calls from members and healthcare providers in a professional and timely manner
Assist callers by navigating the prior authorization process based on established criteria
Accurately document all approval and denial decisions in a complete and timely manner
Transfer clinical questions or judgment-based calls directly to a licensed pharmacist
Ensure compliance with all regulatory and company policies and procedures
Qualifications:
Active Pharmacy Technician License in good standing
Prior experience in a call center or healthcare setting preferred
Strong attention to detail and excellent documentation skills
Exceptional customer service and communication skills
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
